Booking an appointment with GP+

All patients registered at practices in Nottingham city can access additional routine appointments at evenings and weekends through our GP+ service.

The service offers appointments with GPs, Practice Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists, and Physiotherapists in a fully equipped accessible location in the heart of Nottingham city. Find out more about the health professionals we employ here: Who you will see at GP+.

To book an appointment, you need to speak the reception at your registered practice. If you are booked an appointment with the GP+ service you will be told the location of your appointment, be it at our central hub or in a location local to you.

GP+ is not a walk-in service, all appointments must be pre-booked. If you have an urgent emergency medical condition, call 999. For non-urgent medical conditions you can contact 111.

  • Monday to Friday: 4pm – 8pm
  • Saturdays:  9am – 5pm

We are open on bank holidays except for:

  • Christmas Day (25 December)
  • New Year's Day (1 January)

You can only book an appointment with GP+ if you are registered with a GP practice in Nottingham city. You can find your nearest practice using the NHS GP Finder.

Find us

The service is located at 64 Long Row, Nottingham, NG1 6JE. This is also known as the Angel Row entrance, found between Tesco Express and Pepes.

Travel guidance:

  • Bus: there are stops on Upper Parliament Street for the following bus routes: NCT Pink 28, 30, NCT Turquoise 77, 78, 79, NCT Dark Blue 4, Trent Barton Rainbow One. However, the practice is easy to access from various other stops in the city centre. 
  • Tram: The Royal Centre tram stop is the nearest to the practice. If you get off here, it is a short walk to the practice. 
  • Driving: There are a few different multi-story car parks and on street parking areas close the practice. There is blue badge parking available directly outside the main entrance on Long Row. CQC

The Care Quality Commission, who is the independent regulator of health and social care providers in England, carried out their first periodic inspection of the GP+ service in February 2019. They awarded the service a “Good” rating.

Patient Participation Group (PPG)

PPGs are vital ways for practices to get the opinions of patients in order to improve services.

As we are not a GP practice, we do not have one set up. However, your registered practice should have one which you can join by contacting them directly.
