Finding temporary cover for staff when on leave or training was proving a time-consuming and often costly task for practice managers. There was also a high volume of skilled individuals working part-time at GP practices in the city that were seeking additional hours of work that their practice was unable to offer them.

Our Response:

‘Working together works better.’

We developed StaffBank, a bespoke staffing website that provides a matching service for experienced staff currently working within a Nottingham City GP Practice with spare capacity to work at short notice within another local GP practice. StaffBank is also a platform that can be used by locum GPs and locum nurses who are seeking work at a practice in the city.

GPs, practice nurses, health care assistants (HCAs), receptionists, clerical assistants and locums are all able to register as candidates on the site and specify their availability. If a practice needs cover at short notice, they have the option to turn to StaffBank to find suitable candidates.
